Nice entry, Dizzy. All I want is World Peace ... now that was long time ago when I was as young as you. And in schooldays, I was pretty crazy about such thing and join the Earth Club at school.  I even joined the club protesting against big firms destroying beaches & lands or jungles!

But that World Peace can never be gain because whenever there are HUMANS ... there can never really be peace. Unless where we live there are a group of NICE people with NICE genes, NICE hormones and NICE heart. But most are idiots livin in this world - too few nice people to help the world.

WOrld Peace can only be gain when you yourself give that PEACE to the others and from there, there is a starting point to make a difference, a new change ... even if towards the end the Peace could not save those children got killed in the war zone, or women being abused or men being tortured for the colour of their skins or different religion ...

Make peace through a pure heart with a pure mind - like Dalai Lama. But Jesus had said the truth from the beginíng. He knew it that even if He came down to earth, He said it that he came now not to bring peace (because there is not one) ; He said he brings with Him - WORDs. Which means to bring words of advises, love, understanding and creativity to save those who needed to be save and love ... It is not easy though, and He got killed by those He helps .... *sigh*

So, World Peace is an idea of inspiration to CHANGE ... Keep it up, dear!

i reckon christians get the worst bashing. people are always holding up unrealistic expectations - picking out every sin that Christian's commit, and calling them a hypocrite. my Mum would be what you might call a 'closed' minded Christian; and she gets so much crap from everyone else because of her beliefs.

for example:

 just because you try NOT to sin, believe in obeying the commandments, doesn't mean you're going to be perfect all the time. the people who say that, to Christian's, aren't perfect either. it's so ridiculous.

good on you for being open minded. i wish my Mum was a bit more open. it's hard to have conversations.

Yeah I agree with this,i'm ex-harmer and very few people know anything about it but those same people will jump at the chance to insult someone who is dealing with it.It's a coping mechanism.Anyone who hasn't been through it or hasn't had a close friend go through it has no clue what it's about,I truely and sincerely hope that more people get a chance to read this entry and to learn more about it.I lost a once close friend because she found out I use to cut,she called me emo and freak,so now we simply hate each other.I bet anything she talks behind my back but whatever it's all in the past.

Society judges too much on appearances and i agree that its because of the media because most eating disorders branch from seeing the models and all the skinny clothes in the stores.

In relationships now days its all based on apperance...yeah i think everyone needs to keep up their personal hygene..but as far as if the guy or girl is fat or skinny....that shouldnt be judged as much as their personality.

The title of your entry is interesting and you are so right about respect and to accept your family members or friends's religion. If we all turn against each other because their religion is different than ours, then we are all the same as monsters. This is why war happens or killing for honour occur - killing people for the sake of religion are only for barbarians! it is only for those people who has no brain at all. Anyway, you are also right about Jesus loving even the outcast and the sinners and he did said once to his disciples that these sort people are always the first one will enter heaven because they have turn out to be good people later.

i wish more people felt this way. Im bi and i hang out with all gay friends. They are the type that will only hold hands in public places and not make out and such...they know that type of behavior is to be only expressed behind closed doors in private. Those that show their affection openly....way to openly in public are those that give us a bad name.

Everything you just said.. is so true. I'm so sick of this war. it's driving me nuts. My boyfirend has always wanted to be in the army. And I'm trying to help him... but if hes going to fight in this war... i'm going to be f***ing pissed.

I agree with what you said.  I didn't like the idea of war from the beginning and now i think it was a huge mistake.  I think they should start sending troops home now and hand over all control to the iraqi people.
